Terri Hauser is a communications and policy professional and has served as Director of the Virginia Liaison Office under Governor George Allen, as speechwriter to cabinet officials and as communications/legislative adviser to various Republican officeholders, including several members of Congress.
Terri currently serves as Political Director for the National Federation of Republican Women, the largest women’s political organization in the country. Her political activism began locally, and she has managed races in the city and served as local party chairman as well as heading the Alexandria Young Republicans and the Commonwealth Republican Women’s Club. She was appointed by City Council to the Potomac Greens Task Force and the Alexandria Economic Opportunity Committee.
History is one of the things that attracted Terri to Alexandria, and she has served on the Virginia Trust for Historic Preservation (Lee-Fendall House) Board and the Historic Alexandria Resources Commission (HARC). Governor Bob McDonald appointed her to the Virginia Board for Historic Resources in 2012.
A 35-year resident of Alexandria, Terri is a past president of the Marina Towers Condominium Association where she makes her home with her 3-1/2 pound Yorkshire Terrier Ecco (short for Prosecco), whose adventures are chronicled in the Virginia Wine Dogs Blog (VAWineDogs.com). Terri chaired Agenda:Alexandria during the 2014-15 season and has been a board member since 2010.
