As we head toward Black
Friday (the busiest shopping day of the year),
Agenda:Alexandria turns its focus to
Alexandria’s shops and boutiques.
This program examines the contributions
of local retailers to the civic and economic
well-being of our City.
We will look at the current controversy
surrounding the City’s changes to parking meter
rates and hours in Old Town and its effect on
retail.
Business owners will discuss the good,
the bad, and the ugly of doing business in
Alexandria, and the creative approaches they are
taking to cope with the slow economy.
